Die Ausstellung »Heilige Orte der Sámi« im Naturkundemuseum Coburg zeigt eine außergewöhnlich breite und interdisziplinäre Annäherung an die Kultur, Spiritualität und Lebenswelt der Sámi. Sie verbindet ethnographische Dokumentation mit künstlerisch-ästhetischer Bildsprache und eröffnet Besuchern sowohl einen intellektuellen als auch sinnlich-emotionalen Zugang zu einem Kulturraum, der für viele als „die letzte Wildnis Europas“ gilt.

The exhibition “Sacred Places of the Sámi” at the Natural History Museum in Coburg presents an exceptionally broad and interdisciplinary approach to the culture, spirituality, and life world of the Sámi. It combines ethnographic documentation with an artistic and aesthetic visual language, offering visitors both an intellectual and a sensuous-emotional access to a cultural realm that is regarded by many as “the last wilderness of Europe.”
